The two-minute start
Your first shared dossier,
in six steps.
Choose a topic, invite the people involved and gather your first documents. These steps follow the browser app; on iPhone, you can find the same dossiers.
1. Create your dossier
Open Ormind and sign in. In the left sidebar, choose Create your first dossier (or New dossier). Give it a simple identifier, such as my-renovation, then choose Create.
Keep one dossier per topic and per group of people you want to follow it with.
3. Add the first documents
Open Inbox in your dossier and add a text file, PDF, photo or spreadsheet. Check that the files appear. You can also add them through the composer.
For Aster, download the demo ZIP, unzip it, and add the six files to a dedicated dossier. Do not upload this page of answers: let AI work from the sources.
4. Ask for a first overview
Check that the right dossier is open, then send your question in its conversation. Ask for the documents to be integrated into the dossier’s summary.
Read the documents in this dossier and prepare a first overview. Separate confirmed facts, decisions made and open questions. Cite the source documents, then suggest the next actions.
Uploading keeps the documents. Then ask AI to read them and update the dossier.
5. Check and correct
Open the cited documents. Compare an amount, date or decision with the source. Point out an error in the conversation, naming the relevant document.
The source [document name] states [correct information]. Check this point, correct the dossier summary and explain what the correction changes.
Original documents remain accessible in Inbox. Summary pages are in Wiki, and generated documents are in Deliverables.
6. Return together
Add the new email or meeting note to the same dossier. Ask what it changes and have the shared summaries updated. You and the other members can return to the documents and decisions each of you has access to.
I have added a new document. What does it change compared with the previous situation? Update the dossier and distinguish confirmed changes from points that need checking.
To make the result available to others, ask AI to save it in the dossier’s Wiki or deliverables, according to your permissions. A proposal stays unconfirmed until someone accepts it.
If you get stuck.
The upload appears, but the dossier is not updated
In the dossier’s conversation, explicitly ask to read the new documents and update the Wiki pages. If a document cannot be read, keep the error message for support.
An analysis fails or a limit is reached
Read the displayed message. If a Resume action is offered, use it to continue from the dossier’s current state. A compute limit does not erase your documents; you can still read them.
I want to take my files with me
If you own the dossier, its menu offers Export archive. You can also download documents from their views. Keep a copy of important source files.
I want to use ChatGPT or Claude
Follow the connection guide. For the first check, ask the assistant to list your dossiers and check that it finds the expected one.
Still stuck? Tell support what you were trying to do and the message you saw.
