About Ormind

Ormind is a web app for shared dossiers: one dossier for each real-life project, where documents become decisions. You drop in the contracts, quotes, emails and photos of a renovation, the family paperwork or a condominium; you ask questions answered from the whole dossier, with sources; and you invite exactly the people who need to see it.

Why we built it

A real project lives in forty email threads, three shared drives and someone's memory. General AI assistants answer the question in front of them, then forget. Ormind keeps the whole project: every document, what was decided, what is still open and who is involved. It is still there when you come back, and everyone you invite sees the same thing.

What we believe

  • Sources before answers. Every answer names the documents it comes from, so a person can check it.
  • Originals are never changed. Ormind writes its own pages next to your documents and keeps every version.
  • People decide. A proposed date or a priced option is never treated as a decision until someone confirms it.
  • Your choice of AI. Use the built-in Ormind agent, your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, or reach your dossiers from Claude.ai and ChatGPT.
  • Yours to leave. Export a whole dossier at any time, as your documents plus plain Markdown pages.

Who we are

Ormind is a small, independent product built by Sebastien Derhy and Serge Derhy. It is operated and sold by Rene Derhy Import Export, the contracting party for paid plans (see the terms of service at www.ormind.ai/tos.html). We also build ShellTeam (shellteam.sh), a cloud computer for AI coding agents.
